Motorola Droid X Review – New Hit from Motorola

The Droid X is the new hit coming from Motorola, being widely anticipated by fans and experts alike. This gadget will be one the stars this summer, taking the spot lights starting with July 15th when it will become available in shops with a price tag around the $200 mark. It is the successor of the successful Motorola Droid series so it is generallybelieved to rise up to the expectations and even to surpass the initial Droid in reputation.

The first differences that can be noticed between the initial Motorola Droid and the new X model, are the size of the screen which is much bigger for the new edition and the lack of the slide out keyboard which saves a lot in overall volume. When it comes to software, the Motorola Droid X works on the Android 2.1 platform which allows for 7 different home screen populated with a new set of widgets which can be resized at will, enabling for a higher degree of flexibility. One of the new features that has excited a lot of people is the swipe option of the keyboard for writing faster emails and sms messages.
