One of the most interesting smartphones to have come out in recent years is the HTC-HD-Mini. Coming on the heels of the company’s HD2, the Mini offers many of the features and much of the functionality of its larger predecessor but in a sleeker and more compact package. With a screen that is only about an inch smaller than the HD2’s 4.3-incher, the HTC-HD-Mini is well equipped to handle virtually any situation wherein the HD2 would have been suitable if not for its larger dimensions.
The HTC-HD-Mini also follows the stylish lines of the previous model, with an attractive screen that features a selection of scrolling icon shortcuts along the bottom edge. This alone should give you an indication of what you could accomplish with the Mini, and the sheer range of programs available means that most casual users would probably have no need to explore all the Windows Mobile features at all.
Contrary to its business-like appearance, the HTC-HD-Mini is a lot more than your average business phone. It comes with a much better camera than you would find in many other smartphones for one thing, with 5 megapixel capability that should be adequate for most uses. While the lack of a flash may be a letdown for some, it is easy enough to overlook this omission given all the features that you get for the price.
The HTC-HD-Mini also comes with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can use any earphones you like. And with the included CoPilot Live GPS program, finding your way around with the HTC-HD-Mini is a breeze.
The HTC-HD-Mini is also quite zippy in use, with a speed and responsive that was amazing for a smartphone with so many features. And with a highly responsive touchscreen and multi touch features, launching programs and zooming in and out is a snap.
